HappyFeet KC is a toddler and preschool soccer program for ages 2-6 with a main indoor facility in Merriam, KS and 30+ locations across the metro. It offers imagination-based, month-to-month soccer classes (Little Toes, Big Toes, HappyFeeters and Future Legends) rather than a summer camp.

Powered by GoogleBefore enrolling your child, please do yourself a favor and visit this place. Just walk in, take a look around, and your gut will scream exactly where you're about to put your kid. Management speaks for itself. 1. One side of the facility has no working heater — in the middle of winter. Think of it as resilience training... or just freezing. 2. A staff member proudly told us: “Parents are not welcome here, that’s why we don’t have enough seats.” Hospitality at its finest. 3. The lights in one of the halls were intentionally turned off (see pictures!) — reason? The lights are connected to “30,000 other rooms” (yes, that's a quote) and leaving them on would make the electric bill too high. Safety first, right? Let’s count the infractions: - Duty of Care: Working with minors means ensuring a safe environment. Not optional. - Building & Safety Codes: Proper lighting and heating are *basics*, not luxuries. - Negligence: Turning off lights with children present? One trip or fall away from a lawsuit. - Parental Exclusion: Actively pushing parents out of the space raises serious concerns about transparency and accountability. - Unprofessional Justifications: Using cost as an excuse for unsafe practices shows priorities are deeply misaligned. Go, take your tour. Walk through the cracked floors, feel the freezing air, and watch the lights flicker off. The real argument isn’t this review — it’s their lack of maintenance, care, and basic respect.
Our daughter learned a ton of foot skills at Legends. She loved the intensity of the indoor games and she excelled at their program. We left during covid. We felt like our kiddo wasn't learning enough about positions and how to play the rest of the game beyond foot skills and scoring. It also got kind of political and that was causing problems. We will have our son attend when he's mature enough to do their program. It's a fantastic start to soccer and a good program.
I watched in a class for three year olds where my son Lucas, who was in the fall 2022 class at the Overland Park Assembly of God fields at 10:30 a.m on Saturdays, played as a parent played for her child who didn’t want to play. So a 40-something-year-old woman kept taking the ball from my son and other toddlers to give it to her kid who had no interest in playing. And the coaches said nothing. Also the parents would cheer for their kids to take the ball, score, get it in the net, steal the ball, etc. in clear violation of the code of conduct I was informed of verbally when my other son Oliver tried his hand at this ill-run program in 2019. What I was told is that parents CANNOT yell commands or suggestions that drive their self achievement over that of the team. And the coaches did nothing to enforce that policy even though I was explicitly told otherwise. I will never go back and tell every parent I know to stay away. And the fact that you responded to my review and said you can’t find my son Lucas Rico registered when I paid the fee and have his lime green uniform shirt in his closet speaks even more loudly of your inability to manage your own business.
My Grandaughter Cloe plays soccer here & the instructors are Awesome! The way they teach our Precious Children/Grandchildren is Absolutely Excellent. There techniques in teaching are amazing for the children. I would recommend this place absolutely. Very Structured.
It's a nice indoor soccer complex. The fields aren't huge but I think that's better for beginners!
