She had gone to a 3.5 week more typical and general overnight camp the year prior to starting at Guard Up, and although she had good experiences there, she did acknowledge that it was cliquey and that she had to "work hard in order to fit in and have fun". I told her that I wanted us to find a place where fitting in and having fun was natural and not hard. W&W camp has been that place. The staff work incredibly hard to connect with every camper. Quirky is accepted, creativity is encouraged, and teamwork is embraced. She makes friends easily there, and loves the creative and intelligent role play.

Adult Historic Weapons is a fun and engaging class where you spend time each week learning about different types of weapons and warfare in various periods and locations, then put that knowledge to the test using foam weapons and staging mock battles and drills with your classmates. The instructor is passionate and entertaining while teaching you interesting bits of history at the same time. There is a Youth Historic Weapons class as well for the younger ones who want to get in on the action.
