Great place for family and friends to be involved in community events, socials, birthday parties, etc. You can rent the facilities for conferences, and many various events. They have small to large rooms available to rent. They have Gyms and children's play room facilities with games for kids to keep busy. Available to residents of Greenwood.

Kid city is fun and I like the idea. Price is reasonable and I like how adults do not have to pay. However, the top of the stairs is questionable. There is little kids that run by the top of the stairs and It looks like they can easily fall. Maybe a gate might be helpful? I’m not the only mom that has said the same thing. Just a suggestion.

I want to lead with the fact that we do love this facility-namely the kid city steam area. I’m leaving 3 stars because I’m greatly disappointed with the 350% price increase for admission since we began coming here and that would be when our oldest (7yrs) was a tot. When a place is called a “Community Center” I believe there’s an implication that it should be a regularly accessible place for families and children. What the price increases are doing is making it inaccessible on a regular basis especially for larger families. This is a great place to visit 2 hours+, whatever you can pull off with littles. So with 3 children as nonresidents (anyone outside of the county) it’s $21 per visit for us. If we have one more child it’s $28/visit. I was notified at check in they’re hiking up their punchcard rates for non residents January 1 so the visits would come out to 6.50/visit with a card I believe. What’s with basically pricing out non residents for a “community” center. It just feels like whoever is making these rules isn’t considering the fact that the giant kids area is becoming inaccessible and intentionally pricing out a lot of families especially with multiples from visiting and partaking in this community area. If this is the idea then that is very very greedy and sad. I looked at the annual pass rates and wow, an Indianapolis zoo pass or children’s museum pass (which isn’t cheap) is more affordable for families. That blows my mind that the top (multi million dollar facilities in the state are more price friendly than GCC. I’m wondering when they’ll put the breaks on the price hikes or make this facility more accessible for families and a welcoming community again. Because being welcoming also includes economic accesibility. Families need safe community centers to attend regularly but I’m not sure that’s what Greenwood wants for their “community” center.

The grandkids always love to play here. This time was for our grandsons birthday party. This was perfect, a room for the party and they could go play too.

Love Kid City for younger kids, esp. Very reasonable pricing kids & blessedly free for adult assitants to them. Getting to about age 8, the kids are generally a bit old for that aspect of the center & overwhelm the little ones by accident (in their excitement) / break things with their size--bead coaster has been cracked & put out of commission by a larger kiddo)
