TL:DR: Rec = ok. Competitive = bring a sturdy seatbelt. IMO, we’ve had two very different experiences at Greenhaven Soccer Club. The recreational program is good if your child just wants to learn, have fun, and play locally. The competitive program leaves much to be desired. During the fall season, various teams lost coaches mid-season, followed by additional staffing changes. We’ve since learned of additional turnover among competitive coaches across teams and at the technical leadership level in recent years. At the competitive level, I believe stability and consistency shouldn’t be a bonus; they should be the foundation. Considering the fees paid at the competitive level, players need consistent coaching, clear training sessions, and a long-term individual development plan. A revolving door makes that difficult, and frequent turnover can disrupt player development, team cohesion, and overall momentum. While clubs can reset and start fresh each year with a new group of players at a given age level, families don’t have that same luxury as kids continue to age. That important development time matters. Extra parent tip: Do your research, as other clubs in the region may not require volunteer hours for similar fees. Ask about coach continuity and long-term planning before signing up. Your kids (and your hairline) may thank you.

All of the admin are very inconsiderate. They give no wiggle room for anything. Most of the coaches are clueless. I absolutely do NOT recommend this club for your child. They definitely discriminate.
