★★Soccer ParentIn the ECNL program, I’ve observed a culture that discourages open communication between players and coaches. Athletes are often pressured not to ask questions, and when they do, they’re met with dismissiveness rather than support. End-of-year reviews are generic and lack meaningful, individualized feedback. Despite the club’s reputation, it increasingly feels like a business focused more on revenue than player development. Seems as if they are oblivious to the sacrifice some families make to pay these costs. Players frequently travel across the country for showcases, only to receive limited playing time. We see younger and/ already committed players receive more playing time, proving that recruitment isn’t their priority. Even after being urged to invite college coaches, some athletes barely see the field as coaches prioritize winning over exposure. While the staff clearly has soccer knowledge, their ability to coach youth athletes in a constructive and accountable way seems inconsistent. Mistakes on the field are not addressed evenly, and growth opportunities are often unclear.

★Zach MuellerThe grassroots program is most a glorified babysitting session. The coaches are just watching, no engagement other then to tell the next group to switch in, and are often on their phones while the kids are playing. This is a “bring in high volume and let the cream rise to the top” program. They don’t actually coach your child in any way. They just let them scrimmage and watch to see which kids are naturally more athletic, then move those into a “competitive” environment. There is no skill work. No development. No interest in the actual child. Just pure identification of natural athleticism. There are better programs in the area for actually coaching and development of your child. 100% do not recommend
