I have a membership to work out. Pretty decent selection of equipment most of it in good working condition but a few pieces look like they were off the Ark. They also have a egym section for those that want to work out but don't want to carry around and load weights and have to figure out the machines. Most employees are nice but they are really all about the money. Pretty much everything other than monthly dues are over priced.

I’ve been a proud member here for over 10 years and was so excited for the new soccer turf. However, it’s been disappointing that the field stays locked and off-limits to members during the week, with the only alternative being the small kids' gym. I’d love to see the YMCA open the field for member use outside of the Saturday youth leagues. It’s a beautiful facility, and as a long-term member, I’d really value the chance to actually use the amenities I support. It would be a huge plus for the community if there were times during the week when members could use the field for footwork or drills

Pretty good Y. The weight room is very good. Basketball court is good. The pools are nice. Lots of activities for adults and kids. Child watch is awesome. It seems like they have lots of issues with the steam room and hot tub. I wish they had a towel service and better maintained the locker rooms. Can get pretty gross fast in the men's room. As for waco though this is the best rec center for families.

Have been going to the gym since June 2025 it's usually not too busy and the staff can be friendly, but lately they seem to be uncaring about the rules of the gym. I have on more than one occasion seen actual children in the work out area "working out " with a parent but mostly just playing around on the equipment. Often the parents are on the other side of the gym. I have looked around seen staff walking through the workout area and see them notice them but not say anything to them or their parents. Also talking about rules not being followed, I have seen not only other members but staff as well, working out in not modest clothing. They wear very tight and short clothing and show their midriff which is against the rules.

The gym is nice, a little busy at times, but the hours are just awful. I have never known a business to be so inconsistent with their hours with no notice. They seem to find any reason they can to open late. If there is a holiday, you better believe they are opening late the following day as well. Most people who use gyms follow a routine, and I can't keep up with all of these no notice changes to their operating hours. I've even met staff in the parking lot who say they forgot they are opening late today. I am tired of driving to the gym, only to find that it is closed and opening late because yesterday was a holiday. Fortunately, my membership ends this week and I will be building my own home gym instead.
