Goshen Scout Reservation is a 4,000-plus-acre Boy Scouts of America summer-camp complex near Goshen, Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Mountains, owned by the National Capital Area Council and open to Scouts since 1967. Centered on the 450-acre Lake Merriweather, it comprises six resident camps: three Scouts BSA camps, two Cub Scout/Webelos camps and the Lenhok'sin High Adventure Base, offering merit badges, aquatics, sailing and outdoor programs.

★★★★★SamI just got back from a week-long summer camp at Camp Olmsted (Pride) with Troop 429. I had a great time in my merit badges and the staff were really nice. The aquatics area was awesome and I spent most of my time there. I don't understand why Camp Bowman had a larger and more taken of aquatics area even though I never sall a single soul remotely close to their aquatics area. Overall great camp and I would recommend it to troops with a lot of newer scouts

★★★★Everything AlexandriaJust had a great week (July 2022) at Camp Olmsted, the Virginia scout camp was organized and well maintained. Just two years from the covid shutdown of camps they are all doing their best to get back to normal. The director Tom has years of experience around the lake and does a great job of training and maintaining the staff. The dinning hall, run by the notorious Drac Peyton is fantastic, the food was good (for camp food 😄) they had a salad bar and a lot fresh fruit and meatless options. We loved not having to cook or do KP for a change. The camp is relatively flat but plan on walking 4-5 miles a day. I first went to Goshen as a scout in the 80’s worked there in the 90’s and take my son there now. It’s a magical place just a few hrs outside of DC.

They’ve lived around the world as military kids and the staff at Goshen and fellow campers made this a beautiful and fun experience for them. We are forever grateful that they have a provisional camper program, we flew in from South Korea. Thank you to everyone at Camp Marriot for making our experience at Goshen an amazing one.
