The whole facility seems spectacular... except the pool - which is the reason I joined and kind of all I can use, so I left. If you're just born or almost dead, the 86°F pool might be great, but it is very literally medically dangerous to ACTUALLY exercise in. Too hot, dirty, too chlorinated to make up for the dirty, some people are great at sharing the limited lanes, most aren't. The only renovation that actually needed to happen didn't happen. I hope some day in the near future there will be another pool for people who actually swim, not just to bounce up and down, or be in the middle of the lane, oblivious to circle swimming. Friendly, lovely staff, good parking, yaddah, yaddah - just a huge bummer the pool is a giant disappointment.

Finding a parking spot is always a challenge, there's four locker rooms used by adults and zero locker room for families with children, communication regarding cancelled classes is not so good, and programming for kids is unimpressive. Maybe an okay gym for single or adult couples; terrible for families.

They need to put a person who works there at the back door to allow people to check in at that door, given there is not enough parking in the main lot. Having to walk around the entire building in -8 degree temps with small children is not ideal.

The pool is great. Chemistry and temperature are both very stable. Front desk is always pleasant. I’ve been a member of YMCAs across this nation for over 30 years, and the men’s showers in Glens Falls is by far the worst in being kept clean. They are so filthy I could not bring myself to go back. They are, to put it simply, never cleaned. I know this because I’ve watched the filth grow. In one corner, in the drying area, that never gets wet, there are spider webs and dead spiders. On the walls, dead gnats from summer. I’ve tried bringing this to the attention of management. Frankly, the mere fact that the showers got this bad speaks volumes to how often management inspects the work of subordinates.

The pool is great especially for lap swimming. I love the steam room and sauna. The gym equipment is new and not too crowded. The staff is friendly and helpful.
