Girl Scouts of Central Texas runs seven weeks of summer camp for girls in grades K through 12, each week built around its own theme, in both overnight and day-camp formats. Camps take place at Camp Texlake, a 455-acre property on Lake Travis, and Bluebonnet Shores, 244 acres on Lake Belton. The overnight camps are accredited by the American Camp Association and licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Overnight sessions are allocated by a registration lottery that opens in early January, with general registration and waitlists opening in February.

★Givonne PorterfieldI have always loved girl scout cookies Especially the peanut butter patties cookies and the short bread but OMG I am so disappointed the cookies didnt taste the same on top of the peanut butter pattie cookies tastes so old and stale the chocolate looked so dry and had this light white powder look covered over them .The person who was selling them at Kalahari Resorts & Convention Center near the arcade games Roundrock TX . This made me think twice about ever buying them again.

The years of activities that the girls have done together has formed friendships for life. As we get older and busier schedules it is harder to get together. However this year we have still been on 2 campouts (Ropes Courses, BB Gun shooting, Cooking, and some plain relaxing fun like Camp Jellystone) We still do World Thinking Day every year and hosted as France, We went to Girl Day at UT. Worked on Our First Aide and Babysitting badges and Primitive camper badges, Financial budgeting with cookie $. So rewarding! When I was asked to lead a troop because no one else would do it- I did not think I had the capacity of time around work and other kids sports. But it really doesn't take that much time to make sure they get together for meetings twice a month and a few extra fun things. Please consider becoming a leader- it is regarding you you as well as the girls!

They've patiently sifted through badges with me on more than one occasion. The council offices are in the same building and can be reached using the same phone number. The directions were a bit hard to get to, but right after exiting, I made a quick lane switch to the right and turned on the street by TCEQ and it was the correct street, thankfully. I love that they have items exclusive to the local office. My daughter found a really cool varsity-style jacket that she loved and isn't available on the national site. Lots of fun patches available too. Very excited to come here again!
