Powered by GoogleI attended Camp Lowe as a child, and even though that was many years ago, I still have good memories of it! Recently, I looked it up online to see if it was still around, and sure enough — it is! It brought back so many fond memories of the fun I had and the great experiences I shared there. The only downside I can remember is that I nearly stepped on a Copperhead snake one day! I also remember the huge spiderwebs that some of us would walk into if we weren’t paying attention — but that’s just part of being out in the woods. It definitely taught us to pay attention to where we were going. Back then, we did NOT have electricity in the cabins and we had to take our showers in a shared bathhouse. We also ate our meals in a mess hall. I looked through the photos posted online, and it was amazing to see how much of the camp still looks familiar after all these years. The cabin I stayed in was called "Ripples" — I’m not sure if it’s still there and how much the camp has changed since I was there, but seeing the pictures definitely brought back memories.
Love it we stayed in the cottage. Great place to enjoy Savannah.
I’m a Girl Scout and we are currently staying here and it’s gross there where roaches and worms on the floor in the bathroom. It’s very cold in the bed rooms and there are lots of spider webs n spiders. When i took a shower all you saw was bugs and mold on the shower curtain also there was a spider in the shower while I was washing. Also there is no hot water
The greatest place on earth. I could spend a my weekends here
Camp Low is a beautiful setting!!! Our troop stayed for 2 nights. We rented Tidewater, Whitecaps, the lodge, and the cottage. The lodge is the perfect spot for meals and evening activities! The cottage has a kitchen that we used to prepare basic meals. Most of our girls rarely get the opportunity to play in the woods, see wildlife, and have a campfire! They had a blast!! Ralph is the best camp manager!!! He was so helpful before and during the trip. Hope we get the opportunity to return with our next group of Junior Scouts!
