To Management, I would like to better understand the reasoning behind the recent policies regarding member conversations, noise levels, music, exercise activities, and phone usage. I find it concerning that a gym would attempt to regulate how members communicate, listen to music, exercise, or use their phones. In my opinion, these decisions should largely be left to individual members, provided they are being respectful and not disrupting others. Many of us pay over $100 per month for our memberships, and it seems unfair for the experience of the majority to be restricted because of the concerns or preferences of a small number of individuals. Most members control their music through their phones, which makes phone usage a normal part of the workout experience. I would appreciate a detailed explanation of how these policies were developed, what member feedback was considered, and the rationale behind the decisions. I believe many members would benefit from greater transparency on this topic. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from management.

I've been a member at Midtown Sports and Wellnes (Now Genisis) for 40 years. Yes don't need to go to a lower fitness place. Easy to get to right smack in the middle of Albuquerque close to the freeway. Plus they have 4 other club locations to go to. And they are all nice. This club gives you everything. Great friendly employees to great facilities. The hot tub is outdoors and has amazing power jets. The steam room is fantastic. The sauna is hot...but can use an upgrade. Equipment is all modern. Midtown has a basketball court and racquetball and squash courts. Nice locker rooms with day locks and showers with towel service . And shampoo and conditioner provided. Maybe some new title and carpet upgrade needed in locker room. 5 Star place and hope Genesis makes it better!

Love this gym! The atmosphere and staff are fantastic! It is a great family friendly environment, and my kids love the pool and holiday pool parties! Highly recommend this gym. It is more costly than some other gyms but it is worth the extra $$ for the culture and family feel.

Delilah is always with a smile greeting you at the entrance. Joshua is also nice handing out the recently washed clean warm very white towels. Jerrmy is young man who always arpund checking to see if you meed anything. The gym area has Very accessible machines and exercises equipment. There are plentiful amounts of weights and availability of equipment. Most members are polite and respectful. Most members clean the area before and after using it. Olímpica size pool with many lanes. Nice hot tub to wind down after a stressful day at the office. Great locker room showers with plenty of shampoos body wash and conditioner. The mirror offers lotion hair gel and even deodorant. They also have mouthwash and hand soap. The steam room is very good vacancy for about 10 people men only. The hot dry sauna is smaller and it is mixed men and women. I have gone to other gyms but THEY DIDN'T "WORK OUT". I wouldn't consider going elsewhere just to save a few bucks. I already lost a few pounds of fat and gain muscles. I feel more powerful. THANKS TO SPORTS AND WELLNESS GYM FOR HELPING ME STAY CONSISTENT

I am Canadian visitor who comes to Albuquerque two to three times a year. I usually always use public pools to do lap swimming but I found out about this facility that is only 10 minutes from my hotel. I called several times to be able to find out if I can use the facility but the front desk could not answer my questions in regards to payment and membership and they directed me to come in to meet with a membership sales person. It was only a 10 minute walk so I came in in the hopes that I can figure something out to use the pool. I was only in Albuquerque for the week this time. The facility looked very big and clean however it was very busy at 9 AM. An older woman came down to meet me after a five minute wait. I noticed she looked at me up-and-down. Then I explained to her that I wanted to use the lap pool only for the week to do swimming. She proceeded to say this is a members only exclusive club and they do not welcome walk-ins. She kept on repeating the word exclusive. This made me feel like an outsider who was not welcomed. Then I tried to ask her what her yearly rates were and she did not really want to elaborate as at that point she pretty much was telling me to go. She did inform me that there was a $30 a day pass but that could only be used for one day. The pool is outdoors and it is at 83°F. Apparently people use it all year long no matter how cold it gets in the winter. I am sure this would’ve been a great facility but my experience going there was not great. Even if they would’ve allowed me to use the facility, I think it would’ve been way too crowded for me. But this review really reflects on how that sales woman Dash staff member treated me.The way the sales woman dealt with me was disgusting. At some point she looked at my earrings and asked me if I made them myself? To which I answered no, I purchased them during a three month trip to Vietnam. I almost felt like she was trying to judge me on my social class. I am considered upper class high income earner but maybe my clothes were not nice enough for her? and how ironic that a sales woman judges a person who earns 10 times more than her! If we’re going to go down that route, she should learn how to humble herself. Would I recommend this place to residents of Albuquerque? No I wouldn’t. It’s a shame when wellness, well-being and community becomes a judgemental sales pitch. Unless you’re someone who is exclusive and thinks you’re better than others then maybe you should go here. As for me, I am glad they refused me because I would not want to spend my tourist dollars in a place like this. In the entire 57 countries that I’ve visited this is the first time I’ve actually been turned away from using a pool. Shame on you midtown Sports and wellness! Learn to train your sales staff to have manners and courtesy.
