Fredericksburg Ballet Centre runs a slate of week-long half-day summer dance camps, each about 1.5-2 hours a day and each ending in a Friday show for families. Prince & Princess Camp (ages 3-6) runs 10:00am-11:30am across six June and July weeks, with a new princess story, ballet and a craft each day. Art & Lyrical Dance Camp (ages 6-9) runs 1:00pm-3:00pm and pairs lyrical movement with artwork inspired by Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh and da Vinci, and two Musical Theater camps (ages 5-12) cover singing, dancing, staging and costuming for Aladdin, Matilda and Beauty & The Beast. Darby's Dancers Camp (ages 8-18) is for dancers with special needs, who each get a coach to help them explore dance and may wear whatever they like.

My daughter loved the opportunity to explore the world of dance in a fun and inclusive environment! Ms. Christi has a passion for teaching young children, and it shows! I cannot even imagine the conversations that goes on while in class, but she’s defiantly made a positive impact on my daughter. She enjoyed her experience so much that she wanted to try other forms of dance for the fall! I’ve created wonderful relationships will all the teachers and students and even some of the parents. I have had wonderful experiences and opportunities such as competitions and conventions, nutcracker and spring ballet performances, and even outside performances at the fredericksburg nationals games. Even without being on the competition team there’s wonderful experiences and training. I love everyone here like my family and consider this place my second home.
