Foothills Art Center is Golden's nonprofit community art centre, and its Astor House site at 1133 Arapahoe Street houses the Creative Campus and three galleries opened after renovation in 2024. The centre runs exhibitions alongside arts programming and summer camps for learners of all ages; its main campus occupies an 1872 Gothic-style church, an 1892 Queen Anne manse and an 1899 Victorian mansion set around a sculpture garden. Current summer camp age ranges and daily schedules are not published.

Shout out to one of my favorite local photographers Cindy Beckett with another stunning photograph. It's use of color and mood create a masterpiece of visual media that is valued in this person's view far higher than what the photographer herself values her work! There were 3 smaller art exhibits during my visit, but they were all absolutely wonderful and stunning. Especially since it’s free, stopping in here for 30 minutes to an hour is absolutely worth it. The house itself is also beautiful, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly!
