Hi, I am only giving one star because my son did the summer afterschool program when he was much younger. Although, the staff were friendly I am scoring low on the martial arts fees and training. My son was not taught true martial arts skills and self-defense. He only wanted to play games during camp. This place to me is for a younger kids day camp ages (5-8), and it is disorganized and unprofessional. It is not a structured program. This is not a professional martial arts center teaching true karate skills with competitive rankings and tournaments. It is a small family business and they are severely overpriced from what I later found compared to other places. My son didn't remember anything except that he got to see his friend in the summer camp. I have found other martial arts centers that are very reputable. I would not recommend this center for camp or martial arts. The only reason my son did the summer camp was because his friend was going and the other places were full. My son only wanted to attend to see his friends and it was a waste of my gas, money, and time. He never learned martial arts skills.

Please be aware!!! Worst experience ever. My card was charged over $800 before the first week of camp. I informed Pastor Ray (the owner) that 1 of my children will not be attending 2 weeks prior before camp started. Pastor Ray emailed me back and agreed. 2 days later my card was charged multiple times. I spoke with Pastor Ray’s assistant who stated I need to schedule an appointment to speak with him. I sent multiple emails showing receipts of all the transactions that I did not approve. No response. I finally show up to the camp because no one would answer my calls or emails. I sat in the office for over 45 minutes waiting. I finally got to speak with Pastor Ray and he stated I will not get a refund even though I told him in advance that my child would not be attending. (My child NEVER attended the camp.) He said he would not refund me because I signed a contract. He also stated that he would charge $30 per week for each week of the summer as a cancellation fee. I tried to reason with him and help him understand that I sent in documentation stating my child would not attend his camp. The entire situation was shady and fraudulent which surprised me because they are Christian based. If you send your child there please check your accounts REGULARLY! Pastor Ray refused to refund me and demanded I leave. Once I left, my bank informed me that he took 2 more unauthorized charges. LISTEN!! PLEASE DO NOT FALL VICTIM AND TAKE HEED TO THIS WARNING. IF YOU READ THE CONTRACT IT IS A TRAP AND THEY DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING INTO CONSIDERATION. THE OWNER IS ALL ABOUT MONEY. I AM NOT THE ONLY PARENT THAT HAS EXPERIENCED THIS. THIS IS YOUR WARNING!! ————————— Responding: While Pastor Ray’s response to my review included a lot of commentary, the core issue remains unaddressed: MY CARD IS BEING CHARGED FOR A CHILD THAT NEVER ATTENDED THE CAMP DESPITE NOTIFYING the organization TWO WEEKS prior to the start date that my child would not be participating. Pastor Ray stated he will continue to charge my card although I told him my children will not be attending his camp. Pastor Ray responded to my cancellation email with the camp’s start date, but never mentioned the need to sign a formal cancellation form. After reading this review response from Pastor Ray, you’d think he did the right thing and really tried to make things right. The truth is I continue to be charged for children that do not attend his camp. (I did not take the week by week summer package because it cost $177 per week which is very expensive.) Despite my early notice, my card was charged $147 on four separate occasions, totaling $588, plus an additional $248 in other charges. All these charges were pulled before the camp even began. Pastor Ray stated he has refunded me for $266 but I have yet to receive this. IF I RECEIVE THIS REFUND IT IS ONLY FOR THE UNIFORMS BECAUSE I NEVER PICKED THEM UP AND ALSO THE OVERCHARGE THAT HE CHARGED ON MY CARD. But he is keeping all the summer camp payments for 2 children that do not attend his camp. THAT IS THE BOTTOM LINE. I informed pastor Ray of my current situation and tried my best to work with him but he refused to refund me although he took these payments from my account knowing my child would never attend his facility. Pastor Ray says he has been compassionate but this entire situation does not show any compassion what so ever. Intentionally charging someone and not letting them know they have “correctly” cancelled their application is manipulation. I strongly recommend reading the contract carefully so you can avoid getting scammed. PLEASE BEWARE AND BE CAREFUL. I WOULD HATE FOR ANOTHER FAMILY TO FALL VICTIM TO THIS. PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU SIGN, YOU'LL THANK ME LATER.

We absolutely love this afterschool program. My son has time to get his homework done, he does martial arts and he is always telling me about his friends there. He has made great connections, and everyone that works there is fantastic, they are caring and always willing to answer questions and deal with a mom that might be a little over bearing at times.

My daughter was hired this past summer as a camp basketball coach. The job posting made it sound like it was a well organized, Christian ran establishment. It was not to long after she started working there that they told her she would be driving a 12 passenger van to take the kid campers on field trips. My daughter has never driven that size of vehicle let alone with other peoples kids. I was on site as she was getting trained to drive the van. I was really disappointed that they only took her behind the building to practice and for only 1 day.. I thought they would take her in traffic so she could get familiar how to turn such a large vehicle.NOPE, that did not happen. The very next day they had her take the kids out to the zoo. I was a hard praying mama that day. My daughter didn't know to ask if they were insuring her on the van or not. When I asked her she said she had no idea. This was so reckless of the owner. Daily they were supposed to spend time doing a devotional. There were several days that did not happen. They also hired a young guy before conducting a background check because they needed help so badly. As far as the activities, what they advertised for the program was false. Literally they had my daughter out back, by herself with several kids, It was just like recess instead of organised activities. These kids parents were paying for a camp that they thought was full of different specialized activities, but they were being deceived. The owner also has a Facebook page only open to his employees. This is how he communicated with them, because most of the time he was not on site. There were times he would communicate so unprofessionally by using passive aggressive words. He would often compliment how beautiful my daughter was when they were alone--totally inappropriate. Lastly, they did not pay the employees on time, which left my daughter financially stranded sometimes. BBB here I come.

Total ripe off!!! Be ware!!! I signed my son up for lessons (which were suppose to be non-contract) a month before school let out i informed instructors that my son wouldn't be returning the following yr. Aug. 2017 they continue to refuse to let me cancel his enrollment and tried to have me pay throughout the summer. This place is all about squeezing money out of people. They charge you $15 for picking your kid up 3min late. They have hidden fees for just about everything. Now today they tell me I have to pay $154.00 if I want to cancel.
