First Movement Music Academy (Sunnyvale, since 2010) runs a summer 'Jam & Slime' music day camp for children in grades TK-5. Campers explore many instruments (keyboard, piano, violin, guitar, drums, percussion) and theater singing and movement, mixed with slime-making, yoga, water play, arts and crafts, and themed snacks. It combines music fundamentals with sensory play and hands-on fun.

Her materials are exciting and original. She is so passionate about music and her love music is contagious. I am very picky about music education and Sue has checked every box. It is very hard to find a talented musician who is also an amazing teacher. She offers a wonderful balance of fun and discipline. First Movement also offers annual on-stage performance in a formal setting which is an added bonus. My daughter is already looking forward to the summer camps and semi-private piano classes.
