Feels old school and comfkrtable, with modern equipment. Incredibly friendly staff. Clean. Easy, but limited parking.
I've been to all the surrounding ymca in my area and I will always love Firestone park the most. People talk about it's small but there's 5 people at most there at a time tops. All the other ymcas are really crowded and annoying
A nice little local y. The staff is incredibly friendly. It's smaller and only has one of most pieces of weight equipment, but there are also fewer people there. Getting a good workout is easy, and it has everything you need to work on any fitness goals you may have.
I love how peaceful this location is. The staff is always pleasant and helpful and this branch definitely has a nice homey feel. Unfortunately, some of the work out machines are in desperate need of an update and/or repair, especially the upper body ones. Some of the machines are very stiff, making them hard to operate, even with the lowest weight you can possibly put on it. I can't take a ton of weight due to medical issues so it's hard to find the motivation to come here on upper body days.
