Big Country FCA, the Abilene-area chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, runs an FCA Summer Camp on the Hardin-Simmons University campus in Abilene. It is a five-day, four-night overnight camp: campers sleep in university dorms and are grouped into same-gender, same-age 'huddles' of ages 12-18 for competition and teaching. The camp combines athletic and leadership development with Christian teaching, and is aimed at equipping student athletes to lead FCA huddles at their own schools. Big Country FCA serves a 37-county area including Abilene, the Concho Valley, Brownwood and Stephenville.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Fellowship-Christian Athletes directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

I love this place. Friendly people, with warm hearts. Need a prayer they will help you. Among other things.
Wonderful experience. Doesn't matter what buildings are like, it's what's inside that counts. Amen !
I don't go there. I go to Abilene Baptist Association Social Ministries, at the same address.
They give out free food,😄
