Both of our kids attended the summer camp at Evert Tennis Academy and overall had a good experience. The facilities were great, and the program seemed well organized, with a solid mix of tennis drills, fitness, and mental training. One of our kids especially enjoyed the structure and felt like their game improved a lot over the week. The other had a great first week but ran into some issues during the second. The group they were placed in that week had a few kids who weren’t focused, some kept leaving to grab sodas during breaks and would come back late, which extended the breaks and cut into tennis time. There were also some distractions from kids who didn’t seem like they wanted to be there. It made it harder to stay engaged and get the most out of the sessions. We also felt that some of the activities like playing tic-tac-toe during drill time weren’t the best use of time, especially considering how much we were paying. The program is definitely on the higher end in terms of cost, so naturally our expectations were pretty high going in. That said, both kids enjoyed themselves and would love to go back, ideally with groups that match their focus and energy. It’s clear the academy puts a lot of effort into the experience, and with a few tweaks, it could be even better.

Doesn't get any better than Evert Academy!

My son trained for a week and had an incredible time. The coaches were outstanding. The food was okay, but the rest of the camp was an incredible experience for my 14 year old. He improved so much in the one week there, between the groups, private lessons and match play. Great experience, really well run and well organized!

We send both of our children to Evert any time we can. The staff is super attentive and really take an interest in making sure that both of them not only continually improve, but have fun doing it. Evert has become the kids tennis home away from home and we have nothing negative to say. Summer camps are great, but if you can swing it, brushing up during the school year really keeps things going in the right direction. Thanks again to John, the other coaches (Especially Reggie, Martin and Adrain), as well as the back office staff that makes it all happen. Chris and Shannon Nelson

The Thanksgiving Holiday camp was an excellent experience for both of our children. They benefitted tremendously from the professional training in an atmosphere that was both intensive yet supportive. The entire staff was extremely professional, attentive and knowledgeable. We were also very impressed with the coaches, especially Duby and Adrian with whom our children worked with specifically. The coaching staff has a keen ability to quickly diagnose those areas that need improvement and our children were able to develop those areas over the course of their stay, leaving with a plan to work on at home. Furthermore, the involvement of both Chris and John could not be more evident, as they both were on court helping to hone the skills of the players. If you are looking for first class tennis training, the Evert Tennis Academy should be your first and only choice.
