Powered by GoogleMr. Hurst and Natalie where so amazing and welcoming! They are super friendly and professional, they made me feel welcomed and any concerns I had they delivered an answer with a smile. I joined after one class and am looking forward to attending the rest! I encourage anyone interested to join!
I never had my daughter in this facility. HOWEVER, I have had a run in when these kids were on a trip to Lake Reba Park. The kids werent supervised at all, firstly. Second, my daughter was playing on the boat swing with another child when several of these kids circled the swing, linked arms, and tried to force my daughter and the other child off the swing. I had to intervene and stop the bullying. And when I let one of the staff know, nothing else was said other than "the leader of the pack is a bully" and she walked away. I thought martial arts taught discipline, not bullies?
I have never been more frustrated talking to someone. We signed our son up in July. We paid $315 for the month. He was supposed to get 2 private lessons as well as a pair of gloves and a uniform. He got his uniform but never got his gloves. As happens in life, life happened. My wife called and informed them on August 4th that we wouldn’t be bringing him back in due to circumstances out of our control. On August 20th (today) another $126 was taken out of our account. When we called to ask about a refund we were told that we signed a contract. I’m just beside myself. I knew when they told me that we weren’t “allowed to bash them online” that I should be suspect about this place. I didn’t listen to that voice in my head. The money isn’t what bothers me, it’s the principal. There are other places in Richmond/Lexington/Winchester to take your child. The 2 classes I attended and watched showed me that this place is a daycare, not a martial arts school. If you need a daycare, this place is for you.
This has been the best experience for our little one. Great staff and instructors!!! I would recommend Elite Richmond to anyone!!!
What a wonderful program! I originally took my child to Elite for their Summer Camp Program because I needed a safe, reliable, and affordable childcare option where my son would be active and engaged. They delivered that and so much more. After that first summer, we stuck with Elite for their After School Program. All of the programs are wonderful, but I especially love the life skills they teach around respect, self discipline, goal setting, confidence, and concentration. We are ALL IN.... my child now works toward his black belt and also competes in regional and national tournaments with Elite. The level of instruction and support he receives have set him up for success in tournaments, but also in LIFE.
