★★MacaiylaI wasn’t going to leave a review until another parent suggested it. I will try my best to be informative. We have been attending the Little Gym in Parkville since my daughter was 4 months old. They do a wonderful job but now that my daughter is almost 2, we figured we’d enroll her and start her journey with an actual gymnastics place. So we tried out the trial for the Tiny Toucans here at Edge. It was not good. The instructor was talking to these children like they comprehended full sentences. There was no proper demonstration. These kids are 2 or under. They need to be shown, they need to be guided, helped, physically taught, etc. The instructor mentioned she would be bad with kids if she had them. I don’t understand why you would put a young instructor with young children if she isn’t familiar with them. I was genuinely disappointed. The room was also extremely small. Only 5 girls attended the class that day, and it was so stuffy, hot, cramped, etc. Not enough space for the kids to fully explore and reach any type of potential. Comparing this to the Little Gym in Parkville, it is night and day. Maybe this gym is meant for more older kids (5+?) but absolutely not for anyone younger. I would not recommend the program if you are trying to take gymnastics seriously for the little ones. It’s unfortunate because 2-3 is the age to really get your child interested in sports. For any moms out there that also need an example of what I’m talking about; at the little gym, the instructors flip the kids multiple times, they practice hand stands, holds, stretches, singing, etc. This gym did none of that. It was a free for all to roam around for 30 minutes.
★★★★★Malery HarmonI recommend this place 100X over again for birthday party’s. I love that it’s a private party, and you get the venue to yourself. They made set up/clean up a BREEZE. Nicole was our party host and she was AMAZING. She made it so fun, and talked to all of the kids. She played hide and seek and really just made the whole experience even more fun. We will definitely be back for more parties in the future.

We have had at least five birthdays or parties there, plus attend 100+ open gyms, and we do privates on Sundays. The new updates to the gym are amazing and you can truly see that the owners, Gerri & John love their gym and want to do what’s best for the athletes, while making as many parents as possible happy. I am absolutely in love with the new preschool room. Not only is the AC on point, but the enclosed space allows the preschoolers to stay more focused on the tasks at hand. Plus, I cannot wait to see all the new skills that the athletes will gain by having the awesome new in ground pit built by S&S Excavation, aka my amazing hubby Spencer. Highly recommend!
