Always a good time at the YMCA. I have had the privilege to be brought as a guest. It wasn't busy. The hot tub was luke warm but at least there was one to use. Kind of a shame because I used to have a low income membership back in the day when my oldest daughter was little and she was able to do swim lessons. It became something that I worked too much with 4 jobs and didnt have time to come and use the facility. Sadly, I see that's not even an option anymore and as someone who has been a top athlete in the state for a good portion of my life, big into health and fitness, coaching for over 7 years, into pageantry and giving back to the community. Also, along with raising children who like to lift and workout to better themselves as athletes as well. Things are not as accessible to children and teens off season which is sad. I see there are some income based programs but nothing like it used to be and seems expensive for the purpose and access so is it feasible.. not really If you ever are into partnerships or sponsorships contact me. It's a shame not everyone is able to use your facility.

Awesome gym. It always seems so clean. Showers have adequate privacy. Lots of strength machines, nice barbell area, lots of dumbbells and weight benches. Sauna and extra hours compared to some YMCAs.

The YMCA continues to make great decisions and gives the community a great resource. This south Eau Claire location is a really clean and open club Pool and hot tub are awesome Everything is always clean and the staff is helpful and friendly It's only a few minutes from my mom's house, hopefully I can get her off the couch and back on the rowing machine soon

The best family friendly fitness center in the Chippewa Valley. We have 4 kiddos 7 and under and bounce between the South location and the Downtown location. Our kids love the Child Watch staff; they don’t hesitate to play card games with them, board games, or color, and they always remember their names which feels small but is something we really appreciate. My wife and I appreciate the accessibility and amount of workout space. The South location feels new and well kept, with a ton of variety while still keeping the hometown feel the Y is known for. It gets busy around 4-6pm on weeknights, especially with college and high school students, but it’d be silly to be upset with a local business thriving. We’ve never felt cramped. We came from Lifetime Fitness in Minnesota in early 2025, and we were worried about then “step down” the Y would feel like. But the pros have FAR outweighed any cons — including the affordability, the variety, and all the family activities included with our membership, like the morning open gyms at the L.E. Phillips sports center. We’re happy and well taken care of here.

My wife and I really enjoyed this place. This area is large and spacious the staff was great. They have a lot of equipment basically if you can think of it they have it. From a hip thrust machine to a boxing area. The day pass was not to terribly expensive. They do have a summer sale going on for membership which is a pretty good deal. This is not a 24/7 facility only open during their posted ours but they do have a pool. Definitely recommend this place if you are in the area to hit a lift.
