Powered by GoogleWe ABSOLUTELY LOVE this camp! We're on our 3rd summer of attending this year. The vibes from the counselors are out of this world--so much positivity and everyone is glad to be there. I just love dropping off because I get to see the excitement in the counselors faces which helps the kiddos feel safe and that they're in good hands. It really makes for a great experience! The culture at this Camp is second to none! The facilities are new, well-kept and modern. The trails are cleaned up the grounds are well-maintained. The drop-off is clear, and counselors are out helping you know where to go and the process is nice and easy. The counselors are ready for the younger ones knowing they might be challenged sleeping away from home and they're so supportive. The lake is AMAZING at this camp! It's sandy so no weeds. There is a platform and has been other water toys for kids to engage with. We often see great sunsets at this lake so it's stunning in that regard also. Every year, my daughter makes new friends and tries new things. We adore Camp Manitou and love returning year after year! We are so grateful for the staff and the culture they've created to support making fond memories for years to come--thank you!
The camp was beautiful, and my daughter had an amazing time. I gave 3 stars because the communication at the camp needs to be better. I needed an update on my daughter, which was health related, and I reached out 5 or 6 times via phone and sent different emails. Never heard back. I finally called one more time, at night, and someone picked up. I was able to get an update. Nobody should have to reach out that many times. Family emergencies happen and we need to be able to reach out.
My daughter has gone every summer for past 4 years. She loves it and always looks forward to going! Greta staff, great activities, and a wonderful experience for kids!
Amazing and so fun! A great break from electronics and family and stress. I love going there. The councilors are very kind and fun and responsible. I've made great friends and done so many great games! Thank you manitou for being amazing! Can't wait to go back!
when I clicked the five stars it took me to this box, and asked me "what did you like about it?" To be honest, there is nothing that makes this camp better than any other camp. But because of the people there and because I grew up with all the counselors and all the campers you feel like you belong. You never want to ever leave. Sadly the summer of 2016 is my last year as a camper. I will be attending both teen weeks because I'll never be able to do anything like this again, unless I work there, which I plan on it. But if you are reading this right now, please sign your child up, your child, when they come back, will be thanking you and asking to return the next year. I love this place so much and I'm so very happy to call camp manitou my favorite place in the world and my second home.
