East Coast Dance Company runs an eight-week summer dance camp program (June 22-August 6) in which each camp meets Monday through Thursday and concentrates on a single style: ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, acrobatic arts, jumps and turns, stretch/strength or open. Shorter themed camps include a four-day Princess Party camp for ages 2-6 ending in a dance presentation and crowning ceremony, a four-day Acro & Tricks intensive for ages 6+, a two-day K-Pop camp for ages 5+, and flexibility and technique workshops for ages 7+. The studio is in the Sea Girt Mall Shopping Center and fields a competition team for ages 3 and up. Camps are class-length and open enrollment, not full-day.

I was originally hesitant to send my shy 2.5yo to a big dance school but since her first class, Ms Jane, Ms Skylar, Ms Alex, as well as the other assistants were so sweet and patient with her. They would hold her for half the class because it normally takes her awhile to get comfortable. The owners are also super nice and organized. At the end-of-year recital, she actually ended up dancing her little tush off in front of a whole auditorium of people. We were so proud of her. Unfortunately we are moving more north so ECDC will be a bit far for us next season but I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dance school. They do a stellar job! :)
