Dolphins of the Desert Swimming Academy in Tucson has, since 2007, offered private and semi-private swim lessons for ages 4 and up, from beginners to competitive swimmers and triathletes, and runs the affiliated La Paloma Swim Team. It provides swim lessons rather than a kids summer camp.

My daughter has been taking lessons with them since the age of 4 and under their guidance has gone from being afraid to even put her face in the water to swimming multiple strokes with competence and skill. Their private lesson model is well worth it - we had previously done group lessons and my daughter learned only a fraction of what she has learned from Jeff and Geoff with 1:1 attention. He is patient, observant and knows precisely how to address her individual swim development needs.
