STEAM day camps run by the Discovery Center at Murfree Spring, a 32,000-square-foot hands-on children's museum and adjoining wetland nature center in Murfreesboro. Weekly themed camps cover video game creation (coding, digital art, geometric engineering and storytelling), robotics and circuitry, and animal- and story-based nature weeks; the robotics camp for grades 6-8 runs 9am to 3pm and is held off-site at a middle school. The center also runs Camp Wonder, a weeklong camp for Rutherford County high school students with disabilities.

Sadly, it was a rainy day, so we didn't get a chance to experience their outside exhibits, which may have been better. That said, the staff was wonderful 🥰 and the gift shop was affordable.

Even with the rain jackets your kids might get wet. My kids could stay for hours. Definitely something fun to take family that are visiting or a reward for good grades! I like that they have rotating things so often there is something new to do! My 11 year old still has fun here.

There was so much for the children to do, but it was presented in a great way - not overstimulating. Art, music, dramatic play, water .. and more! The kids' favorite part was the slide going from the top floor down to the bottom. Outside, the trails were beautiful, and we were able to see a variety of animals.
