We absolutely adore Deerwood Academy! Our girls have had an amazing time there for almost two years, and we’re really looking forward to a wonderful summer camp this summer! We’re especially grateful for our teachers: Ms. Alysa, Ms. Klara, Ms. Tylor, and Ms. Ashley, and many others if I don’t get promoted. They’re all so kind, caring, supportive, and go above and beyond for their little friends!

I would give Deerwood St John’s a 100/10! The entire staff is so thoughtful and caring towards the kids (and parents). In pre-K and VPK rooms, they follow curriculum to prepare kids for a kindergarten setting, while also allowing creativity and autonomy for free play. In the younger rooms, they’re so loving and meet each child where they’re at. It could be teaching basic skills like how to hold a writing utensil, arts and crafts, circle time, and sharing. Administration (Carolina, Paulina, Megan) are very responsive to any questions. We toured many well-known pre-schools and for us, Deerwood has that perfect mix of well established academic environment with solid academic goals, but all learned in a fun, playful environment. Highly recommend!

This is an excellent school with wonderful caring teachers and administrators. We’ve had 4 kids attend at different times starting with the toddler room, and 3 graduated from VPK. They really prepare them well for kindergarten with academic skills as well as social skills. Everything is well organized, and they go above and beyond with special art shows, events, and theme days. I highly recommend!

In addition to the excellent academic prep, all of the staff are always so friendly and caring and our children love it at Deerwood.
