The staff have been kind, except for one new staff member assigned to my baby. She can be attentive at times, but her mood varies. I also believe notifications about illnesses in the class have been delayed. This made it difficult for us and contributed to my son contracting HFMD, which he struggled with for over 10 days. After he returned, he had only a 2-day gap before catching a fever again. I noticed a similar delay when my son got hurt — the same staff member asked if I needed a note after I had already seen the injury and asked about it. I believe there are opportunities for improvement in a few areas to ensure a cleaner, more germ-free space for the kids. I’m sharing this because I want to work together to keep the environment safer and healthier for all children.

I would strongly caution any parent considering this daycare. My family’s experience has been deeply concerning and heartbreaking. Serious allegations involving inappropriate sexual behavior between children under their supervision were not handled with the level of urgency, transparency, or protection that children deserve. While the owner initially presented herself as concerned, it is extremely troubling that members of management involved in these incidents remain employed and have even been promoted despite active DCF investigations and ongoing involvement from law enforcement and SVU. As a parent, you trust a daycare to protect your child, properly document incidents, follow mandated reporting procedures, and prioritize child safety above all else. In our experience, there was a severe lack of accountability, communication, and protective action. Parents deserve to know when a facility is under active investigation so they can make informed decisions regarding their children’s safety. I sincerely hope no other family has to experience what ours has endured.

I cannot say enough positive things about Lil Voyagers Academy. We first enrolled at the Doctors Village location 6 years ago with our now 7-year-old, and chose this school for many reasons: their structure, the quality and variety of food provided, the nurturing staff, strong hygiene practices, and their clear communication and transparency. What stood out most to us was that it is family-owned and operated. It truly became our daughter’s “home away from home,” and she graduated exceptionally well-prepared for Kindergarten. Now, with our 2-year-old, we didn’t hesitate to return. When the school temporarily closed due to a fire, we held our spot because we knew the standard of care here is hard to find. After experiencing other schools during that time, we can confidently say the difference is unmatched. We are so grateful the Doctors Lake location has reopened and our daughter is already thriving. She walked in on her first day with confidence, excitement, and not a single tear, which speaks volumes about the warm, loving environment. We deeply appreciate the high-quality standards Lil Voyagers Academy provides and fully trust them with our children. We will absolutely continue to send our kids here and highly recommend them to other families.

If I could give a million stars I would! Extremely nice caring & nurturing staff. We started at 6 months old in 2024 & it’s been heaven sent. Ms. Rosa Ms. Shelby & Mrs. Marta are exceptional directors/office staff and are always willing to lend helping hands and accommodate you if emergencies arise. The teachers are well trained young vibrant ladies who have been well trained to assist the littles & their daily schedule is always posted by pictures and notes sent directly to your platform so you can view your child at anytime during the day. Their open door policy makes communication easy and the cleanliness of their facility is top notch. Big thank you to the infant room teachers & Discover 1 & 1a teachers for taking great care of my son since he’s been enrolled. Mrs. Trisha hands down has the best childcare facility in St.Johns county. We love LVA.
