The Dauphin Island Sea Lab's Discovery Hall Programs run summer marine-science camps on the Gulf Coast. Day camps for ages 5 to 12 explore ocean science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on indoor and outdoor activities; a three-night overnight camp for 7th and 8th graders focuses on ocean engineering, robotics, and exploration; and a four-week Residential Marine Science Class immerses high schoolers in marine biology and oceanography on campus.

★Kaitea PaveMy family and I were there today around 3:30. We were there for about an hour. We were 10 of about 15-20 people in the place not including employees. I have an autistic two year old who doesn’t process well and sound is his way of getting by. I also have an 11 month old who is finding her voice. So naturally they were both being loud. An employee came around the corner and literally shushed my kids and told us we were being too loud and it’s echoing. Like I can control how loud they are. And there was no one else in there really and none of them said anything to us. So for this I’m giving you guys a one star. Be mindful of children with disabilities. And big families. We spent money to come to this hole in the wall “aquarium . Clean your sting ray/shark tank. It looked nasty. We will not be back to this place on vacation.

The employee manning the tables was very friendly and helpful. She looked in a book to help us identify the jellyfish we have been seeing on the beach! We enjoyed trying out the selfie display.
