I've been to one of their competitions and there were people there from Georgia, Mississippi, New York and a few other places I can't remember Alabama of course was one. The competition lasted almost 8 hours and Dance ETC was one of the top winners. There was another competition this weekend and again Dance ETC came in 1, 2, 3 depending on the routine. All the teachers and students are very dedicated.

I researched everything from technique, quality of teachers, appropriateness of songs and costumes in the recital and cost. Dance Et Cetera was the best in every area. But it's the intangible things I've come to love most about this school. The teachers LOVE these kids and the kids know it. Not all children are the "perfect" size or born without challenges- these teachers encourage a love and a joy for dance that transcends all that. My daughter is the graceful, confident young lady she is today due in great part to the time she's spent in dance class! I drive past two respected dance schools to get to Dance Et Cetera several times a week. It's not the most convenient school for me, but when it comes to something my child loves and spends so much time with, I will not compromise. As far as pricing goes it is in line with or less than other schools in the area. Also the recitals do NOT require your family to pay $10 - $15 per ticket + parking fees, like many other schools in the area. They also do not nickel and dime you over program ads or push young children into competition teams. It's the joy of dance that makes Dance Et Cetera special and why we come back year after year.
