We are getting the chorus back together. Missing some of our original members but hoping they will return soon. Our guest conductor is Joyce. You may know her as one of our Altos for years. She is great as a director and caring of us all. A pleasure to work with.

An amazing music center. My nieces have been performing each year for the last few years. The instructors are very nice and great at their jobs, and the students really learn a lot versus other music centers. Very convenient to get to and parking is available behind the building.

Incredible resource in our area. Love music? There are fabulous concerts presented by world class musicians. Play an instrument? Every level of playing is supported by three orchestras! Sing? There’s a concert chorus. Chamber music intensive week is my favorite- Julliard trained teachers who have active international careers coach you and play concerts all week! It’s an unbelievable experience! Thanks to Paul Frucht, composer!

Our daughter very much enjoyed the Summer Bands Camp. The staff and facility are both warm and charming. Mr. Monte is so encouraging and delightful. Wonderful example for children!

Danbury Music Centre was established in 1935. It is a fantastic non profit organization. Google and go to their website for the most current information and to see the many component parts which are included in the DANBURY MUSIC CENTRE. All concerts are free to attend with donations greatfully accepted. Nutcracker Ballet tickets in December are available for purchase at very reasonable prices. Unbelievable costumes and dancers from about 5 years old to college age and a few even a little older. Accompanied by the Danbury Symphony Orchestra. Wonderful program for all ages. Each year has changing costumes and choreography! Two orchestras are available: Community Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra giving free concerts. Symphony Orchestra starts the Summer Concert Series each year on the Downtown Danbury Green. Danbury Concert Chorus is a non auditioned group which includes members with a wide gamut of music ability. Usually 3 concerts a year are performed: Fall, Messiah with highly trained professional soloist, and Spring concerts. 2017-2018 has an extra Spring concert, since 3 conductor finalist are auditioning for a permanent position. Next concert is on March 24th in the Congregational Church on the corner of West St. and Deer Hill Ave. across the street from the Danbury City Hall. Call the music centre, if interested in joining any of these groups. Attend the concerts and see and hear what it is all about! *Special music programs are available in the summer by students and graduates of the JULLIARD SCHOOL OF MUSIC. Call for more details. Danbury Music Centre is a jewel in our community and the surrounding area which all should get to know and experience!
