D-BAT Lakeside is an indoor, climate-controlled baseball and softball training facility at 2502 Lawing Lane in Rowlett, open since 2011, with machine cages that pitch real baseballs and softballs, private and group lessons, cage rentals and youth teams. It hosts more than 50 camps, clinics and classes a year; the summer and school-break camps are aimed at keeping players busy when school is out, while specialty clinics focus on a single aspect of the game.
