Powered by GoogleUpdate:the last 3 times we have gone in the evening they have the doors locked and closed. Not open when they say they are or they are not consistent with their hours. My daughter loves to come to the cages here. Facility is nice and large. Our team will move to the inside if bad weather! Thanks for having the options for us!
Comprehensive review: 1. Facility: The facility is great, large cages with lots of options, some with pitching machines and some that you can use for younger kids short pitch and tee practice. Overall the facility is in great shape and well maintained. 2. Front desk/pro shop: This is one area that could use some help, the equipment in the pro shop is great, 5 stars for the equipment. As far as the staff goes, this is where it went downhill. We had a coaching session scheduled for Saturday at 1:30, it was rescheduled to 3:00 pm without notification then 30-minutes before I was called and said the coach wouldn't arrive until 3:45p pm. I asked questions to gain more insight and the staff had no details to provide. When we arrived, the person at the front desk acted as if she had no idea to what we were referring and told us to just wait for the instructor. Overall, the staff just was not helpful in this matter at all. 3. Coaching/instruction: I want to preface this comment with the fact that this was a training for a 5-year old, so the experience may be very different for an older kid. Take into account this instructor changed our time twice in one day, both without discussing the time change with us, the time that was selected was a time available on the D Bat website, I get that things happen in life, but it was very disappointing to have no say in the time change and just be expected to do what they wanted instead. Last time I checked, we were the ones paying for the lesson, so it would make sense that our schedules/availability be included as in the decisions. Also, I would say that D Bat should not advertise that they work with young kids, the instruction and training that we received was not appropriate for working with young kids, older kids maybe, but they are just not trained/equipped to coach young kids. The instructor was not helpful, I believe that the experience was more detrimental to my son's development than beneficial. I ended up stopping the instruction to leave after he repeatedly raised his voice and yelled at my 5-year old son. I asked for a training to get some additional help on catching and throwing, and the instructor was trying to get him to throw the length of the cage, as a 5-year old, when I clearly outlined that he needed to start small, but he didn't listen nor adhere to the overall training request. Ultimately, if I could give their training negative stars, I would definitely do that as an option. 4. Overall I would say the facility is a great facility, really good for just batting practice in the cages. If you need assistance and/or it is your first time, you would probably be challenged in getting any assistance. I will never go back for instruction/training from this staff, as I do not believe their instruction to be helpful nor developmental.
Nothing but great things to say about DBat Benbrook! It’s so awesome to see a GM who is trusting of his staff while also staying so hands on. Facility is clean, service is great, and if you haven’t had a chance to check out their social media, do it!! Definitely a place that likes to have fun while taking care of business.
Nice facility but not enough cages and too crowded. There is no one working the front desk and when we told the worker our ball machine stopped working, he said he would “let someone know” but no one came to help us.
Beautiful facility that features 2 Buildings, a pro shop, 17 Cages, Turf Field, 2 Pitching tunnels, weight room, and a knowledgeable staff. You just can’t beat that!!
