You do have to pay (~$7) to get into the Coyote Point Regional Recreational Area to be able to access the museum, but if you stay and hang out in the park or at the waterfront there, it will feel worth it because it's quite beautiful. Pro tip: bring snacks for the museum because they don't sell food or drinks, and also bring stuff for a picnic at Coyote Point when you leave and you're all hungry and tired.
