Craig Springs is a historic mountain camp and retreat center in the Jefferson National Forest about 12 miles from New Castle, owned and operated by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Virginia. From mid-June to mid-August it is primarily a youth camp, offering Christian camps for various ages with sessions ranging from a weekend to a week and activities including worship, small-group discussion, pool time, crafts, sports, games and mountain hikes.

★★andrea jeffcoatThe land of this place is great idea for a retreat but I suspect all the bedrooms buildings have mold as my whole family got sick from sleeping in them. The food is all preservative non healthy, canned, box , non fresh food. I recommend you bringing your own food if you attend a retreat at this center. Food there would make you sick UNLESS you are used to eating this way, you will be fine.

A rustic setting with beautiful views, little noise from traffic and fantastic meals. Angie the caretaker and host was kind and attentive to our needs. There were a few things under construction, but it was early in the season when we went. I would recommend it for any group looking for a retreat in a rural setting.
