The Covington Family YMCA, part of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, runs a summer day camp for children ages 5-12 in Covington. Daily programming runs 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (early care from 7:30 a.m., extended pickup to 6:00 p.m.) and offers traditional camp, sports camp and teen leadership tracks by one-week sessions.

★Taylor ReeseI honestly have great experiences with the team in the daycare area, but repeatedly run into conflict with the groups running the classes on tennis and pickleball courts. Completely understand if classes are booked and all courts are being used, but that is not the case. See picture, four people booking six courts.

They load all the best players up on two or three teams, then they dump everyone else on the last couple teams. $150 every season to play and you got teams that are winning every game because they have four or five experienced good players on it, while your kid is on the team of 8 players that have never even played before. It's supposed to be about fun, but how is it fun when every season you're on a losing team and the same teams are always winning. When I was a kid they drew teams out of a hat to make it fair and even. You didn't allow a coach to hand pick his team and get all the best players and then throw everyone else to the wolves
