It’s been awhile since I took a class here… mainly because the last time I did I was completely discouraged in my creative process. I was making something with poured resin and glass shards. I wanted this specific layout and all the other sign up attendees liked my design, but the instructor came around and was like, meh, I wouldn’t do that, it’s not going to work…basically I haven’t done it that way and you shouldn’t either even if this is your class project. I did this class as a date night with my husband and he and everyone else at my table that day could see how Sad and unmotivated I was after that. I didn’t want to finish my project and gave a lazy, half-hearted attempt to just get done with the class. I wouldn’t ever go back just because of that one discouraging moment.

On Oct 17 a group of us attended the Corks and Crafts Resin Charcuterie Board class at Paige and Rye in downtown Summerlin and wanted to share some feedback about my experience. Unfortunately, I left feeling quite disappointed as did my whole group. To start the class was very overcrowded and there wasn’t enough seating. The ladies quickly set up a table for us. The 1st thing we noted were the boards provided were noticeably smaller, thinner, and of lower quality than what had been advertised on the website. I actually had to go through 3-4 boards to get one that wasn’t warped. Considering the class cost $68, it was discouraging to work with materials that didn’t reflect the quality or value that had been promoted. I am assuming the staff was not expecting such a large crowd as the 1st hour was them trying to set every up with paint. Had they had an extra hand or two this would have gone much smoother. Lastly, we were sent home with wet boards resting on small plastic condiment cups, which made them unstable for transport. By the time I got home, my board had tipped over, and most of the resin and paint had spilled into the box. Unfortunately, it was unsalvageable and had to be thrown away. I’m sharing this feedback in hopes that future classes use sturdier, well-prepared boards and offer a safer way to transport projects. I would also appreciate it if you could let me know if there’s any remedy or consideration for this experience, as the class certainly did not deliver what was promised.

This business is now a mobile business. I had a craft event and Ellie was our host. She was very friendly and professional!!! She arrived prior to my event time to get everything set up. There were six of us total. She gave great instructions and am she was patient with us. Setting up the event was through someone else but it was easy and not a hassle. When you have your date, you pay half the deposit to hold your date. Then the remaining balance has to be paid 3 days prior to your event. It’s very convenient that they come to you!

I took my team here for a team building activity while we were in town for a conference. We made resin cheeseboards and we all enjoyed it. The cheeseboards showed everyone’s personalities and it was perfect to be able to create something while getting to know one another. Love that they have a food and drink menu and the staff were all wonderful. I would be a frequent visitor if I was local. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience for a birthday party. My daughter loves art and this was right up her alley to celebrate her first birthday party after 2 years of no birthday parties thanks to Covid. The room was a perfect fit. I was able to bring some decorations to add. And the staff were super nice, accommodating and great with the kids. The kids artwork came out beautifully and everyone was happy. What more could you ask for?!
