Community Music School is a nonprofit music school at 775 West Main Street in Trappe, serving students of all ages since 1991 from a facility with roughly 18-20 teaching studios and a 200-seat performance hall. Its summer camps run during daytime hours and include Musikgarten themed weeks (Nature Trail, June 15-19; By the Seashore, July 13-17) built on singing, movement and music-making, along with specialty instrument camps; children as young as four can attend. Year-round the school offers private lessons, the Suzuki Academy for violin, viola, cello and piano, ensembles, enrichment classes and music therapy. Scholarships and financial aid are available, and the school states a commitment to serving students of all economic circumstances.

Powered by GoogleMy son has been taking piano lessons there for 4 years. It's an excellent non profit. Great teachers and quite organized programming overall.
We could not be happier here. My eldest is a trumpet player and has gone thru their fair share of teachers. At CMS, we haven’t found a bad one, though my kiddo loves the Brothers Oehlert the best. My youngest decided she wanted to expand her saxophone skills, so she has been working with Bridgette, who is a perfect patient pairing for my anxious kiddo. As a parent sitting in the waiting room, every staff member is so kind and happy to chat if you like, and it’s a pleasure to listen to all of the kids learning and growing in their musical skills. Such a great school!!
The music school is an amazing place to learn music. There are so many teachers who are all great and very talented! CMS has so many fun events like Performathon and even music camps!
Wonderful place. The rooms are a good size. Variety of lessons to choose from. Affordable. Staff is amazing. Love the artwork in the hallway.
My son takes piano lessons at the Community Music School and the standard of instruction is first rate. He's making great progress and really enjoys his lessons. The Music School also offers opportunities for recitals and puts on performances that are excellent. Highly recommended!
