Camp Shelly Ridge
Girl Scouts - Eastern Pennsylvania
Camp Shelly Ridge is the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania camp just outside Philadelphia in Lafayette Hill, and the council's only property running both day camp and overnight camp. It serves girls entering 1st through 12th grade with swimming, archery, hiking, a climbing wall and bouldering, arts and crafts, Gaga, low ropes and outdoor cooking, and the council describes it as the perfect introduction to camp. Day camp runs 9am to 4pm across eight weeks from late June to mid-August, with overnight weeks offered in half-week, full-week and multi-week options. Extended care to 6pm, bus transport from seven Philadelphia stops and a swim club with group lessons after the camp day are available as paid add-ons.

Powered by Googlethis place sucks so bad… i tried to talk to my counselor about austria from hetalia and you know what she did? she took away my mattress for 3 nights…
What a lovely camping experience for our girls. We signed up for archery and rock climbing and they had a blast. Clean and spacious cabin. Wish the hiking trails were better marked and maintained. We followed the "yellow" trail to a cliff/stream and could see there should have been a bridge...but there wasn't. We had to turn around there which was a disappointment
We made the trek to participate in the Brownie Journey, World of Girls. There was a heavy snow storm the night before and the roads and sidewalks were all clear and safe to walk. The event was fantastic and well planned. We stayed on schedule and the tasks and activities changed up every 15-20 minutes to keep the girls engaged. The counselors that lead the event were really awesome at engaging the girls. We learned so many new songs and games that I can't wait to take back to my troop. Thank you for hosting us and we hope to join you for another journey weekend!!
I had high hopes for this experience. My daughter said it was not a fun experience and she would not like to go back. She has loved other GS camp locations.
Excellent facility. Lodge old and new are well-equipped. My 16 scouts has a blast! New activiry center was fun for rock climbing. Gaga pit was a huge bonus!!
