I would give it a higher rating but the children up in the main gym without adults watching them are troublesome. Running as fast as they can on tread mills & so on. I had to holler at the so called attendant to have him stop them. As soon as he went back to talking to his friends the kids (maybe 8 yrs old) were right back at goofing off. This happens way to often.

For the past three years, the YMCA has been such an important part of my life. The classes I’ve taken, the friendships I’ve built, and the impact it’s had on both my body and my mind have made me incredibly grateful. But more than that — it’s become family. And I know I’m not alone in feeling that way. Without this organization, so many people in our community — of all ages — would struggle. At 43, I’m stronger than I’ve ever been, and that’s not just physically. The encouragement, acceptance, and connection I’ve found there have helped me push through hard seasons and continue to grow. If you’re looking for amazing classes, I highly recommend anything with Shari Holbrook — I take Tabata and Pilates and absolutely love them. Yoga with Teresa Tackett is incredible. Erica and Nikki will have you sweating and laughing at the same time. These classes truly make a difference. I’m deeply grateful for every single person who works there. They are a special group of people and a true blessing — not just to me, but to our entire community.

For the last few years my club basketball team (Unified Knights) have struggled to find court time during our practice hours. With us being right across the street, I thought it would be worth a shot to ask them if we would be able work out time for us to use a small portion of the gym. They were more than happy to help accommodate us! Today we had our first practice and it was amazing! The students were very excited to be able use multiple hoops and have room to scrimmage! I cannot thank the YMCA staff enough for everything they are doing for us.

Two of my grandkids have attended both years of preschool at the Cole Center Y and they have moved on to public school prepared, excited. and engaged in learning. The teachers at the Y are some of the nicest and most caring people who greatly had my grandkids' interests at heart. In addition to the preschool, they have participated on numerous sports teams and have moved through the swimming lessons. I cannot say enough great things about this location, the staff that work there and the care they take for their kids programs.

This is my son’s second year at the Cole YMCA preschool and he is thriving in this learning environment. He has made many new friends and the teachers genuinely care about each child and their interests. There is a lot of play-based learning within the structured school day, which keeps their little minds engaged and excited to learn. I love receiving photos from class and appreciate the extra activities like gym class and swim lessons. We couldn’t be happier with our experience here and will always be grateful for his teachers and this program!
