Powered by GoogleCoach Gordon is great. His camp experience goes beyond what other surf camps offer. Lots of opportunities for varied play.
Coastal kids and Gordon are a fantastic way for your kids to spend their breaks! It’s always so organized and the coaches are super kind and helpful. Kids have so much fun at the beach and in the water. We’ve been going to his camps for 2 years and highly recommend!
I can't recommend Coastal Kids L.A. enough! My boys have been having the time of their lives at this camp. Gordon, Jessi, and the entire team are absolutely incredible—they're thorough, kind, caring, and 100% attentive to every child. What really sets this program apart is how they encourage kids to explore, be independent, get sandy, and just have fun in the best possible way. It's like going back to the '90s with free play and fresh ocean air. The kids come back exhausted, exhilarated, and already excited to return the next day.I'll admit I had some nerves about a beach program, but the staff quickly put those concerns to rest. Safety is clearly their top priority, and you can tell they genuinely care about each child. My boys come home happy and can't wait to tell us about their adventures. If I had to sum it up in one word: Idyllic. This camp is pure bliss!
It's paradise! Our boys come back exhausted and exhilarated. Gordon and Jessi are absolutely incredible. They are so fun, caring, and focused on the kids having fun. It's like going back to the '90s. Free play. Fresh air. Just perfect. The kids come back so excited to tell you what they've done. It's just bliss. P.S I definitely had nerves about dropping off a 2 and a 4 old by the ocean but they were so quickly calmed. Kids safety comes first and you can tell.
Probably the most unsafe camp for small children. I have also reported them for negligence. My son, 3 y old, attended this camp for about 2 weeks. Gordon E. who seems to be running this camp is unreliable, unorganized and all around untrustworthy. I have found my son at pick up sleeping, literally covered in sand with a soaking wet towel around him, with sand in his eyes and wet clothes. Another child has thrown a big amount of sand at him as they were playing. Accidents happen of course but: 1. they said they contacted me to let me know when in reality they never did. They either wrote my number wrong or never bothered to even text. 2. he had dry clothes and towels in his backpack that they never took out. I found them(Gordon and his wife) hanging out and chilling while my son was sleeping uncomfortably with pain from sand in his eyes and with wet clothes on him. 3. They have not removed any of the sand they just left him there. 4. When I looked at my kid he has swollen red eyes and feeling very uncomfortable when he woke up in my arms. If you care about your child's safety find another camp. Fort $120 for 4-5 hours a day its not worthy it! A shocking and frightening experience.
