The YMCA soft ball team and network needs a complete makeover. If the coaches not cheating for the softball teams, the makeshift umps and score board keepers are picking up their slack. People have eyes, we can see everything going on. Let the kids play a clean sport. Don’t cheat for them. It’s very misleading and sets bad examples.

I have had a membership here for just about six months now. The whole facility is great. Well kept, a good variety of activities available, and fair prices. I am a college student and they offer exclusive prices by semester which is great if you are attending school from out of town but want a place off-campus to workout. The staff is fantastic, they are always friendly no matter what time of day you find yourself going in. The weight room is where I spend the majority of my time. They have a good selection of machines that work all the different muscle groups. They also have enough cardio equipment in the room to prevent you from having to wait long periods of time to claim one. The one thing I wish they had was a hack squat machine rather than the seated leg press. There's all kinds of data to back up why one is better than the other, but I won't get into that here. Also, there is only one traditional bench press in the gym which often is taken by the time I get there so I have to wait for it to be available. There are, however, other bench styles present that can keep you busy while you wait. Besides these two minor complaints, I think they have a great facility. I plan to extend my membership in August when my current one expires.

The feild bathrooms did get unlocked for the children after complaining . More needs to be looked into with this YMCA and the people running it. Something is not right and things just don't add up. The Newberry YMCA is so much more family and children ❤️ friendly and accommodating .

This is my main gym. The staff is very friendly and helpful, I love them! I recommend this gym for anyone, especially if you have a family because they have something for everyone. That includes a full basketball court, gymnastics room, an indoor pool, weight room, sauna, steam room, a hot tub, tennis courts, several baseball fields, and even a couple of racket ball courts. The aesthetics are comforting and they offer many different classes so you always have something to do.
