CVP Youth Theatre is the youth arm of the Clarkston Village Players, a nonprofit community theatre at 4861 White Lake Rd, and has run a summer theatre program for students ages 10-18 since 1967. Rather than a week-long camp, it is an eight-week summer workshop: auditions are held in April or May, rehearsals run from mid-May, and the 20 to 40 participating young people stage a full-length musical over the last two to three weeks of July. Students work on vocal music, dance and acting, and tuition is $125.
