Clapping Hands Farm is an arts-and-nature day camp on 15 off-the-grid acres near Pittsboro, NC that has run summer camps since 2000. Led by working artists, craftspeople, and naturalists, campers ages 2-18 spend days outdoors climbing trees, exploring trails, and doing hands-on visual and performing arts, with an emphasis on community and cooperation. It has a no-one-turned-away policy, with a third to half of campers on scholarship, and works with children who have disabilities or challenging life circumstances.
