Civic Theatre of Allentown, founded in 1927, runs Civic Theatre School summer camps for children from pre-K through grade 12, in two-week and four-week formats. The core two-week Summer Session covers acting, voice and movement plus master classes in puppetry, stage combat, costume design, stage makeup and design, with a different theme each week and a free showcase on the theatre's main stage on the last day. Rising 7th-12th graders can instead take Act Out Loud, a two-week performance intensive that mounts a show such as Godspell Jr. An optional afternoon extension from noon to 3pm is available for grades 3-8.

Tickets are decently priced and seats are comfortable. Plenty of space in the bathroom as well if needed. Friday night I was worried about parking but you can use the Wells Fargo lot after hours, which had space for us. The snack bar is expensive but to be expected for a night out. Nice selection and not a bad pour on the glass of wine!

★★★★★Sharon LandisWent here for the last showing of "A Christmas Carol" This play was very well put together and pulled you into each actors chactscters as they enter to they left the stage the lightening, was fantastic and to be ghost disappearing , and held everyones attention, Especially the sweet young lady behind us. When the woman with the baby asked for a penny and Scrooge told her no with the sweetest voice she said He is not very nice. 😂 😂 😂 The ticket price was s very reasonable price per ticket the inside of the theater was beautiful 😍❤️❤️ very elegant there is a refreshments bar with alcoholic drinks available and men and women restroom. The shoe starts around 8 Pm and end around 10 pm. As for parking we found street parking for we saw a Saturday Evening show. A ++ Theater and A++ Actors and play. I would come here again.
