City Camp is the City of Oak Park Recreation Department's summer day camp, run out of the city's Community Center at 14300 Oak Park Blvd alongside its ten parks. The department also operates a Tot Lot Day Camp for younger children and a Latchkey extended-care program, which is open only to children already enrolled in Summer Day Camp or Tot Lot Day Camp. Enrollment is first come, first served with fees paid in advance and no deposits. Age bands and daily hours are not published on the department's camp page, which still carries COVID-era guidance; call the Recreation Department at (248) 691-7562 to confirm current details.

My kids went here last summer. They say it’s a weekly camp no commitments, but you must pay 2 weeks at a time. On my kids first day, I paid almost $400 for camp & 2 hrs into the day one of my kids had a severe allergic reaction & they had her lie on the floor with water while I drove from Romulus to Farmington Hills to rush her to emergency. To this day, I never received a call or email from the camp inquiring if she was even still alive, a refund option, or any other resolutions. I’m researching camps for this summer & this one popped up & thought parents should be aware.
Great place for young kids to enjoy the summer and high schoolers to learn what it means to be a leader. Best summer program around!
City Camp has been around for a long time. Its a family business and the staff treats you as family over time. It’s been great watching this business grow over the years and can’t wait for another awesome summer!
