The Charleston Yacht Club offers a youth summer sailing program for ages 5–18, managed by nonprofit Charleston Community Sailing. Sailors learn in age- and skill-appropriate boats, from Optimists for younger children (roughly 8–15) to Open Bics and Vanguard 420s that build teamwork and racing skills. The program serves first-time students, returning participants, and experienced racers.
