If you're looking for a place to build community, find a creative outlet, or just browse some incredible art - CAE is for you! The team there is so friendly and really passionate about their mission to connect the community with art. One of the best places in Evergreen! Their clay classes are a MUST! :)
Center for the Arts Evergreen is now celebrating 50 years of operations (2025). The facility has expanded during my years in Colorado from a small cabin near the Buchanan Park Recreation Center to the repurposed church that is its current location. The Phase II expansion completed in June 2024 has greatly enlarged the facility with community spaces, classrooms, artist studios, an artist-in-residence program, and a state-of-the-art ceramics studio. CAE sees its mission as a community hub, hosting ten annual art exhibits, a wide variety of children's and adult classes and workshops, summer camps, and mentorships. There is also a concert series, community rental spaces, arts festivals, an elegant gift shop showcasing local artists, and many community outreach initiatives. I visit the gallery when I come to Evergreen. It is a nice exhibit space and has presented many interesting shows over the years, featuring material of local, regional, and national scope.
CAE is an incredible asset to the Evergreen community! Their outreach programs provide meaningful opportunities for people of all ages, fostering creativity, education, and connection. As a small business owner in Evergreen, I have a deep appreciation for the professionalism and dedication with which they run their organization. Supporting CAE isn’t just about giving back—it’s about strengthening our entire community. I highly recommend getting involved, whether as a participant, supporter, or volunteer. We’re lucky to have such a well-run and inspiring non-profit right here in Evergreen!

CAE is truly a treasure for Evergreen and the extended mountain community. It’s a place where everyone can gather and enjoy the rainbow of experiences waiting for you and your friends.
