Carousel Acres runs a farm day program in South Lyon where campers ride ponies or horses every day and learn about farm living, including animal care, gardening and cooking, alongside crafts and games. The working farm keeps more than 20 kinds of animals, among them mini horses, mini donkeys, alpacas, calves, pigs, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens and geese. Sessions run in summer as well as over winter and spring break, priced at $300 per week or $70 per day with a two-day minimum, dropping to $275 per week for three or more weeks. It is a family-owned farm established in 1993 that also runs pony parties and a mobile petting farm.

★★★★★Nichole FrederickAll in all it was a very cute experience! The tour guide was very kind and let us brush the ponies. Our daughter loved the pony ride. There are no public restrooms unless you have a private party reserved so hopefully no one has to go potty while you’re there. Regardless, we stayed from 12 till almost 3 and had fun the entire time with our 3 year old :)

Tammy was great with communication, responded quickly to our interest and got our party scheduled. Cherie was a great help and so pleasant to be around. She’s clearly passionate about her role there. Our kids and their cousins (and us!) had such a fun time, smiled and enjoyed the whole encounter. The farm was clean and plenty there to entertain the littles. ★★★★★Zana bajloWe had my son’s 5th birthday party here and it was a hit with the kids and parents. Cheryl was our host and she was incredibly helpful and fun. The banquet room is adorable. It was already set up with table clothes and cow balloons 😁 The grounds is a haven for kids. We had pony rides and then a tour of the barn animals that were very well kept. The kids were able to brush the miniature donkeys which they loved! It’s a great opportunity to get kids up and close with animals in a safe environment. There is also a playground area with unique games and things to keep the kids busy as they arrive and also when waiting for pony rides. They got it all covered at Carousel Acres! Thanks ladies!
