The Carolina Yacht Club in Wrightsville Beach runs a junior summer sailing program with camps, classes and lessons for kids ages 5-18, grouped by age from Sea Squirts (5-6) and Sound Sharks (7-8) to Cruise Control (9-13) plus a competitive race team. Sessions combine on-the-water sailing, water safety and sailing-related STEM activities. Non-member children age 7 and up must hold a $50 Junior Associate Sailing Membership, and applications are due by April 15.
