Powered by GoogleWe tried Cap city for a year and it was our worst year in 10 years of youth soccer. The coach treated the kids and parents horribly. He was disrespectful and only played a handful of his favorite players while the team lost most games. Games were often cancelled last minute and there was no communication by the club. Coach Angel has no business working with teens or parents. He’s inexperienced as a coach and with soccer. At the MLS Texas2 level Cap City advertises for, they should have an experienced, professional-level coach not what seems like a volunteer rec coach. We played nearly $4k for fees + uniforms. The “spring” season was a total of 2 or 3 games with no real team practices except for 1x a week when we were told it would be 3 and they unexpectedly change practice day/location/and time consistently. This club is a scam. We tried many times to communicate with cap city to resolve their lack of communication and issues with the coach but no one cared and when we did raise it directly with the coach he was rude, immature and blew us off. Apparently the owner isn’t involved and there is no one to escalate your concerns to. I’m writing this to warn other parents - this club is unprofessional and not what they advertise. We are back with Lonestar and couldn’t be happier. If your player is at an elite level, this is NOT the club for you and if coach Angel is your coach, run in the other direction.
I've had two kids play at Cap City over the past 6 years. I've loved knowing that they are really known and cared for at this club. The practices are excellent with great player and team development. My son has gained tons in terms of soccer skill and life discipline at Cap City. My daughter loves her team, her teammates and really trusts her coach which makes a huge difference. I love seeing my kids grow in talent in an environment that fosters a long term love of the game.
Weve been very happy with Cap City since making the switch from Lonestar. The difference in coaching is night and day. Our daughter is now in an environment that teaches how to play the game as a team, how to pass and move and find space and maintain shape. It’s a beautiful thing to see the girls connecting passes on the field and playing with confidence, and learning to trust each other to make the right decisions on the field. If your son or daughter loves the game and has a true desire to work hard and improve their skills, this is where you want to be!
Fantastic community club! The atmosphere is welcoming and family-oriented. The staff is professional, well-organized, and truly cares about the players' development, not just winning. It’s a safe, positive environment for kids to learn the game. We wouldn't go anywhere else!" Coach Bryan Hallums by far the best coach in Austin Metro Area .... I highly recommend your child being developed by him and his coaches
If you are looking for a different soccer experience, check out Cap City! My girls (2017 and 2015) are having a blast. We were at LoneStar, but decided that we wanted a better experience (both for my girls and for us parents). Cap City really shines at developing not just the individual, but the team as a whole. Communication has been stellar from the coaching staff. Highly recommend!
